Experience the grandeur of traveling by train through the spectacular Royal Gorge. The Royal Gorge Route Railroad follows the most famous portion of the Denver & Rio Grande Western train line, 24 miles round trip from Canon City to Parkdale and return.

The two hour journey (3 hours for dinner train) takes passengers on an unforgettable journey over the famous Hanging Bridge, which clings precariously to the steep granite walls of the Royal Gorge, towering over 1,000 feet above. Come experience the “Grand Canyon of the Arkansas”.

Three departures daily (9:30, 12:30 and 3:30pm) Memorial Day to mid August. Two departures daily (9:30am, 12:30pm) mid August to mid October. Saturday and Sundays at 12:30 throughout the Winter and Spring (Closed January and February). We are the only gourmet dining train in the state of Colorado. New for 2008 - Wine Express Trains departing on the 12:30 and 3:30 departures! Murder Mystery Dinner Trains and Wine Dinner Trains are on select evenings. Call for schedules and rates.
