Royal Gorge Bridge & Park: Walk a quarter-mile across the highest suspension bridge in the world. Visitors are invited to ride an aerial tram which offers a 360-degree view of the gorge, the bridge, and the majestic mountains.

Buckskin Joe Frontier Town & Railway: Watch out and head for cover as gunfights explode throughout the day on the streets of this authentic old west town. Hop on board the Royal Gorge Scenic Railway for a spectacular, relaxing journey through the Royal Gorge Region. The climax of this 3 mile, 30 minute scenic ride is the best view of the Royal Gorge and the bridge available anywhere.

Day 5: Alamosa

Rio Grande Scenic Railroad: Offering a variety of trains throughout Colorado. Take a ride to Great Sand Dunes National Park for two hours of exploration and fun. Also available is a train to Antonito, Colorado where visitors can catch a ride on the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad. Grab lunch at one of the 40 restaurants in or around Alamosa.

Day 6: Antonito

Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad: The spectacular mountain steam engine will provide train enthusiasts with an old fashioned ride through the mountains. Be sure to check out the “special” train rides offered, including the Antonito Moonlight Dinner Train and Plein Air Artist Train.

Day 7: Durango/Silverton

Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad: Authentic turn-of-the-century, coal-fired, steam-powered narrow gauge railroad through the scenic San Juan Mountains of Southwest Colorado. Designated as a National Historic Landmark and ranked in the top ten scenic railroads in the world. It's more than a train ride; it's a step back in time and history!

Individuals interested in extending their stay one or two days can travel along the spectacular San Juan Skyway, one of ’s Scenic Byways, when traveling to Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park. The park is full of beautiful and timeless towering cliffs and amazing wildflowers fill the Gunnison National Forest.
