Mark your calendars now for the May 15^th Tour Colorado Membership meeting. The May meeting will feature John Krish, the current president of the Student Youth Travel Association, as the speaker. He will give be giving Tour Colorado members inside tips on how they can bring more Student & Youth travel to their area and how to really tap into this market. He will also give the membership an overview of SYTA and how SYTA membership can benefit Tour Colorado members. Meeting details are below. More about Mr. John Krish

John Krish is the vice president and general manager of Travel Adventures, Inc., a student tour company located in Lapeer, Michigan. Founded in 1987, Travel Adventures makes tour arrangements for more than 50,000 students and chaperones each year to domestic as well as international destinations. 

John first became involved with Travel Adventures as a teacher leading groups of students to Chicago and WashingtonDC in 1995.  During the summer of 2001, he was invited to join the staff on a part time basis and focus on vendor relations and contract negotiations with major suppliers.  In the fall of 2002, John was hired as general manager and in 2004 was promoted to the position of vice president.

John has served on a number of industry panels including SYTAUniversity and led training sessions for members of hotel management teams on topics dealing with the student tour market. He was elected to the Student and Youth Travel Association (SYTA) Board of Directors in 2006 and at their annual conference in Whistler, BC in 2007 was elected Vice-President of the 900 + member student travel association and assumed the position of President at SYTA’s annual conference in San Antonio in September of 2008.
